Toyota Prius models

The 2023 Toyota Prius hatchback comes in three trim level options: LE, XLE and Limited. Each has a hybrid system that combines a 2.0-liter engine and electric motors to produce a total of 194 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional for all three trims. With AWD, power increases slightly to 196 hp. Feature highlights for each trim include:

LE

  • Starts off the Prius lineup with:
  • 17-inch alloy wheels
  • LED headlights
  • Folding 60/40-split rear seats
  • 8-inch center touchscreen
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration (both with wireless connectivity)

The LE also comes with a bundle of advanced driver aids (Toyota Safety Sense 3.0) that includes:

  • Forward collision warning with automatic braking (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
  • Adaptive cruise control (adjusts speed to maintain a constant distance between the vehicle and the car in front)
  • Lane keeping assistance (steers the vehicle back into its lane if it begins to drift over the lane marker)
  • Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert (alerts if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while reversing)
  • Automatic high-beam headlights

XLE

Adds to the LE with:

  • 19-inch wheels
  • Keyless entry and start
  • Rear seat cupholders
  • Heated front seats
  • Synthetic leather upholstery (Toyota's SofTex)

This top Prius trim has the XLE's optional features noted above as standard. Toyota also adds:

  • Ventilated front seats
  • Driver's seat memory settings
  • Eight-speaker JBL sound system

The Limited can further be optioned with:

  • Heated rear seats
  • Automated parking system
  • Digital rearview mirror function (allows you to see out the back even with a fully loaded cargo area)
  • Surround-view camera system (gives you a top-down view of the Prius and its surroundings for tight parking situations)
